When I first started my little nonprofit, A Touch of Teddy, in 2023, I was overwhelmed to say the least. A lot goes into starting a nonprofit, and this mission was extra emotional since it's in honor of our son, Teddy, who passed away in 2018.
Our mission is to send love & a teddy bear hug to families who've also experienced pregnancy and infant loss, like ourselves. During the month of October (PAIL awareness month), we send FREE teddy bear ornaments to baby loss families. A small reminder that their babies matter.
Tags & Fliers Galore!
I did some pretty extensive research when it came to the printing company we were going to use. We needed flyers to explain our mission and help spread the word, as well as the tags to go on our little bear ornaments so we could include a baby's name/nickname. As I mentioned, I was just starting out - so cost was a BIG factor in my decision. Little did I know the quality was going to be just as amazing. Annnnd did I mention nonprofits get a discount? Say. Less. May have been sending all my nonprofit friends to their site! To date, we've sent over 8,000 free ornaments out, excluding donations to other likeminded organizations. Needless to say, we've needed A LOT of tags and flyers over the last few years!
